Earthquake. Tsunami. Devastating loss. Incomprehensible destruction. Nuclear meltdown. Unimaginable fear.

Let’s offer some help, hope, light and love.

We can’t do everything. But each of us can do something.

And today, I am only asking for a comment.

For every comment you leave on this post, I will give one dollar (up to $150) to the Red Cross’ efforts in Japan. And two fabulous companies have agreed to match my donation. They are pure t and glassybaby.

pure t is the most amazing maternity line….

It’s feminine, modern, super comfy and earth friendly too. Plus, it’s manufactured right here in the USA.

Every piece, even the dresses, can be worn during pregnancy from day one to the ninth month and there after. I still wear my pure t shirts while the rest of my maternity clothes have been loaned out or packed away. No one is getting my pure t tees.

This line is a favorite of celebs and is found in boutiques all over the world.

And then there is glassybaby….

glassybaby sells the most gorgeous glass votives that can used as cups or candle holders.  And the story behind the company is just inspiring.

Back in 1998, Lee Rhodes, was raising three small children and fighting a rare form of lung cancer.  As she endured surgery, chemotherapy and fear, Rhodes filled colored glass cups with tea lights and scattered them throughout her home. She found hope and healing in their color, light and love. And out of these moments of serenity, glassybaby was born.

Thank you to both these companies for supporting my efforts to help Japan. If any other companies would like to match my donation, please email me at kelcey@mamabirddiaries.com.

As for all of you, please help me raise money by leaving a comment today.  (You don’t even have to put your real name. Remember that name you really wanted in the 6th grade? You can put that. Mine was Lisa.)

P.S. This fundraising idea was inspired by Classy Chaos during the Haiti earthquake.
