the twins arrive
Sorry to leave you hanging there on the last post.
After a sonogram at the hospital, it was quickly determined that the twins needed to be delivered. Like within a couple hours.
Before the procedure, I asked my OB the two most important questions a patient can ask…
1. You’ve done this c-section thing before, right?
2. Have you been drinking today?
Once I determined that she had indeed done many, many c-sections and had imbibed no vodka tonics, we went ahead with the delivery.
It was uncomfortable, and a little nerve racking at moments. But in the end, we met our wonderful, amazing baby girl and boy.
The boy is 5 pounds, 8 ounces.
The girls is 3 pounds, 10 ounces.
I’ve only gotten to see them for about 30 seconds because they’re in the NICU. As soon as I can really take a look at them, I promise some names will be confirmed and announced.
Dylan and Summer are apparently excited about their new siblings. Although they may be a hair more excited about their new trampoline.

[Reply]
Congratulations on babies! I hope they are healthy and you are well, and I can’t wait to hear the names (I’m guessing not Mickey and Minnie, though that would be cool.)
The first time I read this, fast because I was worried, I read that your OB asked you if you’d “done this c-section thing before” and if you’d been drinking, which seemed like a kind of hilarious thing to ask a 34 week pregnant mother of twins. But I went with it. It made way more sense the second time around.
[Reply]
Mazel Tov! Wishing you a quick recovery and lots of joy from the babies.
[Reply]
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You didn’t really just write this after delivering them, did you? I am sure that Summer and Dylan will love the twins as much as their trampoline… I would just not let them put the twins anywhere near the trampoline!!!

Congrats! A little disappointed you didn’t tweet throughout the birth, but I guess it’s not about us, is it?
Best wishes to you & the babies!!

Big congrats!
If you need any help with NICU details, lemme know. As you know we spend 5 weeks there.
[Reply]
I don’t think anyone’s congratulated you yet, so let me be the first.
We also spent 5 weeks in the NICU, so please let me know if you need any advice. Ask as many questions as you can, take notes if you need to, and as crazy as it sounds, try to get some rest and heal while they are there. You’ll need your strength when they come home. Congrats again! So exciting!
[Reply]
Congratulations, Kelcey! Wishing you and your family everything wonderful.
