I was recently asked to check out a website called Moms.com. First of all, how on the ball are these folks that they bought the web address Moms.com. For those of us less on the ball, MomsWhoLoveHarryOfOneDirection.com is still available so snap that up.
Moms.com is a social network for moms to share, get feedback and receive support on every thing from fertility issues to pregnancy to parenthood. (So if my husband wants to share stories about how he doesn’t use the baby monitor because he apparently has some kind of canine hearing, he will have to find a different forum.) Because this is a site for moms only.
From what I’ve experienced on the site, it’s a very positive environment (snark free) and you really can ask anything. Like if I had known about this site a few weeks ago, I could have asked…
“Am I being totally cheap by ordering my holiday photos on photo paper instead of card stock?” Or “How annoying does your kid have to be to yell at them on their birthday?” Or “What are the best excuses when you forget to move the Elf on the Shelf?”
One fun feature is that you can create Mom’s Moments which are little postcards that others can check out and comment on. I created this one…
See that’s poor Cash napping in his exersaucer because he passed out while we were busy doing something else.
On Moms.com, you can follow certain moms or just check out the “buzz” on the site. We all know motherhood can be isolating and lonely at times, so it’s nice to know you don’t have to do it alone.
