They recently paved our road. My god if that doesn’t hook you into reading this post, what will?! Kelcey’s road got paved? Please don’t keep us waiting. Go on! Go on!
Then they painted the yellow lines on. (I bet you didn’t see that twist coming.)
And as I drove home that day, I was just so grateful that I wasn’t one of those bird brains who drives over the yellow line while it’s still wet, smearing yellow paint across the street.
Now if you happen to live in my town and notice yellow tire tracks leading directly into my driveway, please pay no attention.
I’m sure they’ll wear off.
Maybe by 2016.
Or definitely by eternity.
P.S. In my defense, how was I supposed to know the lines were still wet? (I mean, other than the huge truck and the yellow cones up and down the whole street?)

If you love Project Runway, don’t miss my recaps on Lifetime Moms. This week, I was outraged at who the judges decided to kick off. You know as much outrage as I can muster when it comes to reality tv. Click here to read my post.

Suburban life is filled with these kinds of perils every where you drive! I bet on Pinterest you could find a way to remove those pesky yellow streaks.
I imagine the yellow stripes on your tires enhances the gold of your minivan:)
ha ha ha… we’ve all been there… these sorts of things should be done at night.
By pulling the yellow lines over into your driveway, you may end up with a lot of oblivious visitors who you weren’t expecting. Might want to reinforce the walls behind the driveway, just in case someone tries to plant their car in the middle of your living room. But it could be a fun way to meet new people.
Thank goodness your kids didn’t all yell “finger paint” and run into the road. That never happens here.
I think we need to stick with the story that it was in fact an out of town visitor that did it.
It just makes me deeply happy that you did that.
Perhaps the paint will help when you are giving directions to your house?! xo
It will go away, eventually!
