yes we here at the papa’s know all about the non naps and the sudden urge to wake up at 4am. and lately sienna has the irresistible urge to put her hands in the plant soil.

i just can’t buy fake plants. the stores don’t open at 4am.

We sometimes think about moving away from NYC ourselves. We probably will at some point…I love NYC, but with kids, it might be nice to have a yard!

I know why Dylan is wearing that!!! I used to do that all the time as a little girl, I swear! It was my pretend hair. Even now sometimes when I pull my shirt off and it gets stuck on my head like that I have a little flashback. Awwww, Dylan!

One thing about the suburban neighborhood I should warn you about.. The people that want to be your friend right away and then proceed to tell you all about all your other neighbors, usually in a really negative light.

Neighbors are great and good to be neighborly but usually best to find friends off street! Agree with the commenter who surmised the school year will bring you in contact with other mom’s, and any other kid group you decide to put your children in.

Just saying.. When my kids were younger and we moved (frequently with our first born) I got suckered in to the neighborhood ‘bad news’ mother a few too many times. Take your time, you WILL meet new friends

I don’t watch tv so have gratefully missed all the MJ hoopla. Have heard it is a bit to bear.

Glad to hear you are settling in and a neighbor showed some kindness Which makes me think I should bake something up for our newbies to the neighborhood… Hmm… brownies maybe.

I’m so glad the suburbs are treating you right! And I couldn’t agree more about the easy part.

As for the Red Bull, I have to thank you from the bottom of my heart for that tip because it suddenly explains why my 2.5 yr old abruptly gave up naps and got all manner of wide awake too. Note to self: must eradicate her secret stash.
