My husband’s list of accomplishments is long.
His fancy TV career.
That Emmy award.
His Cherry Hill, New Jersey Dancing with the Stars championship trophy.
And, of course, the day he fixed our high tech sink.
But then came our humidifier.
We are a big humidifier family. They are always running – moisturizing the air, buffering noise, fighting crime. We love them.
But suddenly the humidifier in our bedroom just stopped working. We were panicked.
Rick didn’t know what was wrong with it.
So I, sensing my moment to shine had finally arrived, took a look.
And despite the fact, that I have no Emmy award.
No Cherry Hill Dancing with the Stars Championship trophy.
And no ability to fix even a Barbie doll sink.
I fixed the humidifier.
Oh yes I did.
And by “fixed,” I mean, I plugged it in.
P.S. In all fairness to Rick, he has been completely sick with the flu for the past four days and was not exactly in top condition when he encountered this humidifier situation.

LOL! Like when you call to get computer help or for appliances & the first thing they ask is, “Is it plugged in?”, then “Is it turned on?”
Just out of curiosity, what’s the point of a humidifier? Where I live (NZ) we need dehumidifiers…
Wow what an over achieving family-especially you and your plugging in skills. *standing ovations all round.
See that is why we don’t own anything this technical.
Speech! Speech! Speech!!
I would never be so base as to LOL you, but I honestly laughed out loud reading this.
Plugging in is the extent of my fix-it abilities. And I’m ok with that.

Ditto. :-}
Mazel Tov! I am a slave to our humidifiers, and have 2 fix-its:
1. Plug it in
2. Replace it.
we have three of those exact humidifiers. One for each of our bedrooms
I don’t run mine year round though…is this something I should be looking into?
Way to go! It is the small things in life that we absolutely must celebrate!
Oh how we can all relate…;)
Good job Kelc!!

I’m writing that tip down!
Well done! We are a humidifier family too:)
