I don’t want you all to think this is going to become some boring baby blog where I only post pictures of my new twins constantly and don’t talk about real stuff like Jenny Humphrey’s never ending ridiculous eye makeup on “Gossip Girl” or Tipper and Al Gore calling it quits after 40 years of marriage.
I heard Tipper kept mixing up the paper recycles with the cans and frankly, he couldn’t take it anymore. I understand. You can only forgive that kind of thing so many times.
My marriage is luckily very strong (Check back with us in 40 years or in a few weeks when we’re living under one roof with 4 kids). Rick has been such a superstar while I try to recover from this c-section. He’s been running around like a madman sterilizing my pumping equipment, going to Whole Foods constantly and doing lots of laundry.
Last night he came upstairs a bit exasperated and said,
“Does ANYTHING of yours go in the dryer other than your underwear?”
And I said something like…
“Yes. All the sweatpants and the yoga pants go in the dryer. Except for my black yoga pants that are made out of that lighter cotton. Don’t put those in. And the shirts get hung to dry too. Except the t-shirts. Those can go in the dryer. But don’t put the bras in. And not my sweatshirts either.”
He looked a bit defeated when he headed back downstairs. Laundry is not for the weak.
The big mystery in our home these days has been the location of my nursing bras. I haven’t been able to find them since the move and unfortunately a few weeks ago, I dedicated an entire day to “trampoline obsession” instead of “Find those nursing bras in case the twins come 6 weeks early.”
But I finally found them in the basement and you would have thought I had discovered a way to plug that oil spill, I was so damn excited.
By the way, now that director James Cameron is involved in trying to fix that never ending, horrible leak, I can only imagine that Leonardo DiCaprio will soon be called in as well. Because nothing puts a stop to a major environmental disaster like a handsome actor. I hope he gets nominated for an Oscar this time.
Ok enough about oil leaks, let’s talk about my cute twins! Looks like Chase will likely come home on Sunday. Harlowe needs to stay in the NICU for a bit longer. I keep telling her how great it is out here in the suburbs but apparently she wants to enjoy her spot across from Central Park for just a bit longer.
