I can't even imagine what your friend must be going through. I can only hope that her three children are helping her get out of bed and get through the day every day. I will be thinking about her... So glad to hear about your mom though. I'm kind of addicted to books on CD for the gym and I suggest she get some series into her rotation. If she's okay with historical fiction/romance/sci-fi themes (all in one) I suggest the Outlander series. It's not a good one for the people who will only read high brow material (even I was given pause when I found out that my favorite new book would be found in the "romance" section - gag) - but it's definitely entertaining and the epitome of "escapist" fiction.
