SIDS was one of my biggest fears when I had babies. I can't even imagine what your friend must be going through. I can only hope that her three children are helping her get out of bed and get through the day every day. I will be thinking about her...

So glad to hear about your mom though. I'm kind of addicted to books on CD for the gym and I suggest she get some series into her rotation. If she's okay with historical fiction/romance/sci-fi themes (all in one) I suggest the Outlander series. It's not a good one for the people who will only read high brow material (even I was given pause when I found out that my favorite new book would be found in the "romance" section - gag) - but it's definitely entertaining and the epitome of "escapist" fiction.

I'm just catching up with Mama Bird. Wow. You've got a lot going on.

I can't believe the news about your mom. She's the most spry, sturdy person on Earth. Please give her a kiss from me. And I'm heartbroken to hear the news about Sawyer. My deepest sympathies to Lanie and her family.

Your people certainly need you now, Kelcey. They are lucky to have such a great friend/daughter/mamabird.

I had something funny to say about soup and then my heart broke for your friend Lanie. I am so deeply sorry. Wishing you all strength and peace to survive this grief.
