I have this relative who is absolutely lovely but not exactly fashion forward.
She has a penchant for wearing her shirt tucked in – with her skirt or pants or shorts hiked up a bit too high.
I’ve always been sensitive to the plights of the style challenged and I’ve reached out to help this relative.
But it’s never done much good.
Then the other day I asked this relative to dress Harlowe and well, you can imagine what happened.
Sorry baby.
oh em gee… that’s what my immigrant mother does to make sure they don”t catch a cold. duh!
First!!!!!!!!
Funny! Mostly, because it seems that is what my mom seems to do when dressing my daughter.
She doesn’t look too happy about her situation. I’ll bet she can’t wait to dress herself!
At least her diaper will protect her from what would probably be one uncomfortable wedgie!
This is what my son looks like when his dad dresses him. What is the deal with tucking in the shirt? I don’t get it.
Geee….I wonder who said relative is…
She dressed her as her twin. Stacy London wouldn’t even know where to start.
This post made me laugh out loud. “Sorry baby”. PERFECT!
Harlowe’s pants are tie-dye and the cuffs are turned up, so she’s not a complete fashion “don’t”. Her expression tells me she won’t be leaving the house for the mall to hang out with her friends any time soon, though. At least not until she figures out how to un-tuck.
the outfit is one thing…the look on her face is another! aweseome!
She looks absolutely adorable. I’m going to wear my pants under my arms today, too.
She looks absolutely HORRIFIED.
It looks like my husband dressed her. We worked on that skill early in my home so my children wouldn’t look like The Boxcar Children and become fashion casualties when in their father’s care. But even in her Grandma pants, Harlowe is divine!
LOVE the look on her face! PRICELESS!!! Why is it the dads and granddads don’t quite know how to dress the girls? I NEVER let hubby dress the girl when she was a baby…
We call that ‘geek pants’ in my house, and it’s usually my husband who is the guilty party.
That’s a keeper right there. It will look good blown up on a screen at her wedding one day. LOL.
I am not the relative in question here, in case anyone’s wondering. I see a lot of “hubby” comments out there, and just wanted to set the record straight.
I knew it wasn’t Rick, it was one of the older sisters who dressed her or maybe her Manny. She’s beautiful and looks just like Rick…what a lucky little girl.
Hilarious!! One day she’ll die over this picture.
hee hee! love that picture! she already the good sense to know a bad fashion moment!
Oh my goodness. That really made me laugh. I could feel the picture coming as I read, but it was even better than I could imagine. And that expression on her face–well, at least she has the good sense to be perturbed.
tie dye. groovy man!
She’s so damn cute, though!
wish i had a photo to share…
my husband’s brother dressed our son in a one piece short outfit with shorts-overalls over it! stripes + khaki with print.
I’ve always been sensitive to the plights of the style challenged…LOL. Does laughter and mocking count as sensitivity? I’m just happy you weren’t talking about me.
separates are tough for infants
Thanks for the laugh. Cute picture. 🙂
