The Salvation Army bell ringers are back.
I always sort of like them because it’s an easy way to give to the needy and also reminds me to be grateful for everything I have.
And their incessant ringing also makes me want to tackle them and tie their bell ringing hand to a telephone poll with a strand of Christmas garland just so they will stop RINGING THAT BELL but I try to keep those feelings from bubbling to the surface.
There are joyous holiday messages where ever you go.
Like my husband was at the grocery store and picked up a box of crayons for the kids.
And someone (who I’m sure had many things to do like buy gifts, send out holiday cards, make fruitcake) actually took the time out of his or her day to pay it forward and inscribe the following festive greeting on the inside of the box….
It’s really a lovely gesture to add the heart.
