My daughter Noa turn one this week. She is a fantastic baby but this past year has had its challenges. There were many days when I wanted to shove her back up into my uterus and forget the whole thing ever hbeauty-diary-sally-hanson-nails.jpgappened. On those days, I would ask my husband to come home a little early from work so that I could slip downstairs to the nail salon and treat myself to a pedicure. The pedicure was my easy, inexpensive escape. One hour and $25 later I would feel refreshed, pampered and pretty, and ready to face my baby again.

Now that Noa is a big girl, I find motherhood to be a tad less daunting. I still treat myself to pedicures but they are no longer required therapy. Lucky for me, Sally Hansen Hard As Nails has launched a line of polishes called Xtreme Wear that satisfies my need for pretty, polished toes. This line boasts an ingredient called bioactive glass that bonds to nail proteins to give a hard, shiny manicure/pedicure that lasts up to 7 days. The polishes are also free of DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde, the harmful chemicals that tend to show up in drugstore brand polishes.

The Xtreme Wear line features 30 fabulous shades like chocolate nut, ruby stilettos and purple potion. These colors are rich and bold, with a touch of sparkle. At $2.50 a bottle, sexy, sassy hands and feet never came so cheap. No visit to the salon needed.
