be nice and share
My two young children are always fighting over toys. What is the best way to handle this? Do they each get a turn? How long should the turn be? What about their own baby dolls? Do they ever have to share those? Any ideas would be great. I want to be consistent but I’m having trouble. Maybe I need a book. Help me.

I am mean mommy–I set the timer and give them each 3 minutes. If that doesn't work, Mom gets the toy, and nobody wants that to happen. Aside from their own special lovies, we share everything in this house. Probably not fair, but that's life, right?

I am mean mom too but I nationalize the toys and they become property of the Dictatorship of Me. (I put the toy in time out and when my kids were little I would tell them the toy was sad that they couldn't play nicely) Now that the kids are older whatever they are fighting over simply becomes mine all mine.
